GREEN Mobile – Solar Energy Laboratory on Wheels for K-12 schools, two-year colleges and public outreach

The GREEN Mobile Solar Energy Laboratory on Wheels is a project that will provide outreach to K-12 students, two-year colleges and the general public. GREEN students and faculty have designed several experiments to teach students about solar energy and encourage participation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.  The GREEN Center will coordinate with K-12 science teachers to integrate these solar experiments into their curriculum and provide a hands-on education experience.  The mobile lab features six 235-watt solar panels mounted on the driver's side that will be able to power all elements of the lab while on site visits and can be used for solar energy demonstrations. This project was made possible by a grant from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission Energy Office.
